So I know a lot of people have been wondering what is going on. Well about 3 weeks ago, Jaycen had a follow up appointment for his RSV, and when I took him in, his RSV was gone...but... the doctor said he was concerned about Jaycen's head. He said it was growing WAY too fast, and that he guessed there to be fluid on the brain. He said he wasn't going to do anything right away and to come back in 2-3 weeks and he would see how it looks then. Well that appointment was on March 24th, and the doctor was more concerned because his soft spot was bulging, and his head had already grown more! So he scheduled Jaycen a catscan for 10:30 am the next day. (And he also had to redo the lab work because they lost it, to see if he has IGA deficiency). So I took him to get his catscan done, and not even 3 hours later I was getting a phone call from the doctor saying that there is a lot of fluid on the brain, and that we needed to get out to primary childrens hospital as soon as possible to have brain surgery done on him (to put a tube in his brain that goes to his stomach to drain it). Which the doctor also told me was VERY DANGEROUS because it was surgery on a vital part of the body (of course). So we were all really upset and scared, Primary Children's called and made us an appointment for the following day (was supposed to be really early) but ended up not being until 2:30 pm. Well anyways, when we got there they told us that they had NOT recieved the catscan from our doctor so couldn't really do much at that point anyways. They said that he don't think Jaycen is going to need it done though because from what he felt and measured he said he didn't think it was going to be necessary (But he said that could change when he see's the catscan). So now we are just waiting to hear back from them within the next 2 weeks to know what goes on from there...
And since this wasn't really a "joy" trip to salt lake, we didn't really do anything. We mostly stayed at the hotel, went to his appointment, ate, and we did go to the mall for a few minutes before going home. AND...lol, I branded Scott! jk, but Scott can't wear a wedding ring for multiple reasons, so he's always said he just wants to get a tattoo on his ring finger. And so before we came home, we went ahead and hurry and did that too, It says Trista across his ring finger! :) :)
