So Scott works a schedule where he works 4 on 4 off...which is really nice! We love that schedule... and let me tell you, the last 4 days he had off was one of the best WEEKENDS ever! :) Wow!
His first day off was Saturday, we just hung out at home most of that day - but that night was the FIRST night since I've had Jaycen that we had a baby-sitter over night watch both kids! And Scott and I went to the club with some friends and danced and socialized - GREAT FUN! :)
Then the other 3 days were full out fun FAMILY DAYS!
On Sunday, we went to Golden Coral and ate lunch, then we drove up to Steinacker to see the water, got out and took a few pictures, enjoyed the heat! Jaycen even seemed interested in the water which made me really happy! :) Then we went to the old airport, where me and my dad used to go fly remote controlled airplanes, (because we used to catch a TON of horny toads up there) and we were trying to find one to show Mikylee. Well after that mission failed lol...we ended up just gathering some cool looking rocks and coming home and making a home-made "Rock Tumbler" using a water bottle and water and SHAKING SHAKING SHAKING! Then Scott's parents came over to our house, and Mikylee wanted to learn how to play hopscotch, so we all played Hopscotch in our driveway! She had a blast! Then the last thing we did that day, is we had a Pizza Picnic at the park! We went and got some Hot N Ready Pizza and took it to the park and ate! Jaycen had such a fun day as well (He couldn't stop smiling!). What a great day full of wonderful memories!
On Monday, we went to Ashley Gorge, but didnt really end up doing anything, because they have made it so difficult to do anything up there anymore. Then we decided to go to Remember the Maine, and walk the trail to the water there...wow...again big disapointment! I was seriously disgusted! Because that is where I used to go to take pictures all the time, and it was a nice little trail to take the kids on to see water, and they have put a TON of BIG rocks all over so that you can't get to the water very easily! But Scott and Mikylee threw a few rocks into the water anyways, and then we just played at the park there and had so much fun. Jaycen was such a character, and I recorded him talking, laughing, smiling, everything lol while we were at the park. But that day, wow, he seriously did not take a nap at all! not even like a 10 minute one! NONE! But when we got home, we had a bbq, and made steaks, corn, and deviled eggs, and we watched Who's your Caddy! It was a really good movie! And Jaycen FINALLY fell asleep in my arms around 10:30 that night!
On Tuesday, we took Mikylee to her school and started to teach her how to play : 4 square, baseball, hopscotch, and played on the playground. Jaycen went down the slide for the first time today, with daddy of course! lol. We just had so much fun doing so many things as a family!
REMEMBER...IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE THAT MEAN THE MOST! :)
